Hugo‘s day-long tour of the northern Rhône vineyards, specifically Cote Rotie, was nothing short of fabulous. His insider knowledge of this great wine paradise was impressive and extraordinarily helpful, and the properties he chose for us to visit in order to taste the 2023 vintage were off the beaten path, and thus all the more interesting to our group of three, all with decades of wine knowledge and experience. I could not recommend this tour more, whether for the vinous novice or the seasoned wine professional. I would also highly recommend his newly-opened wine-tasting location in Lyon. Bravo, Hugo, and thanks!
We had the most incredible day discovering the Beaujolais region with Hugo! He went above and beyond to make the day memorable, with a curated variety of wineries that gave us a true spectrum of what the area has to offer. He explained the history, culture, and unique winemaking styles in a way that was both fun and informative. Beyond the vineyards, he also shared excellent recommendations for restaurants and bars in Lyon, all of which turned out to be amazing! We cannot wait to explore another wine region with Hugo in the near future. Highly recommend!

Hugo Jeanguyot was an outstanding guide for us, getting us into a wonderfully diverse and stimulating group of wineries and arranging for us to meet quite a few of the winemakers and vignerons. He managed to do this at a pace that was unhurried and still well-paced. He was always able to accommodate changes in the schedule and arranged to meet us at disparate locations, arriving exactly with our Tesla chauffeur. His English is excellent and provided excellent translations of some of our highly technical questions and their equally challenging answers.
Hugo also was conscious of the kinds of meals we preferred, finding restaurants that combined excellent cuisine that reflected the typical foods of their region with charming settings. One of the great unexpected bonuses was the appearance surprise bottles of wine that Hugo had purchased at auction that would suddenly appear at lunch in a brown bag as a blind tasting; wines that were always regionally appropriate but unobtainable for us without Hugo’s selection, both for their unique producers and age – the remainders of bottles we brought to the wineries to give blind tasting to the winemakers who seemed equally delighted. We had purchased bottles shipped to us at home and Hugo arranged all of it, adding excellent and interesting selections of his own on our behalf. In short, I would highly recommend Hugo Jeanguyot Wine Agency as a guide, as someone to arrange tastings both at the wineries and in any setting, and as a consultant for selecting a wonderful array of wines.

Outstanding wine tours! Hugo is HIGHLY recommended - I am a wine professional (and wine educator) of over 30+ years - I book wine tours across every wine region in the world - Hugo was first-class from start to finish.
Recently - I took a group of aspiring wine enthusiasts to Paris and engaged Hugo for two (2) separate wine tours (Champagne - and - Loire) - both were exceptional in every way.
I cannot recommend Hugo enough - he is incredibly wine-knowledgeable - he is very personable, friendly, fun and easy to be around - his knowledge of wine, food and local customs is off-the-charts. I look forward to booking Hugo again (not only for my groups of aspiring wine enthusiasts - but also for my friends and family!!)
